Hello {FIRSTNAME}, and a happy {WEEKDAY} to you!

This is the second on-line eCourse from Swiftnet Marketing.

For years I myself have tried making money on-line and failed miserably spending a lot of money and time on hopeless products.

One of the first things I did was spend over year setting up a on-line catalogue that sold 100's of different things. I figured a on-line mall will cover all areas to sell in and this will make me the most money. I didn't get one sell.

Actually, 1 lady emailed me for a large order after 6 months which I then found out I priced wrongly with a typo of the wholesale price not the retail price (I had to put 100's of things in the store which was very tedious).

In any case, I learned the “hard way” what selling on-line is about. Do not try to be everything to everybody.

This is the one of the biggest mistakes people make when they start out selling on-line and why so many fail.

You need to find a niche, a targeted audience that are looking for specific things (and it is best if they are not finding much results). A insider tool do this is at http://wordtracker.com. I have a year subscription and use it often to find highly searched for keywords with little or no competing webpages.

Another good place to find trends is http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends. Never skip this critical step of research before selling.

In the next lesson I will cover finding niches on ebay.

Sincerely,
Brian,
