This is the eleventh lesson on-line eCourse from Swiftnet Marketing.

In the last lesson I showed you some neat tricks to use pay per click advertising with and a hot tool to easily find niche keywords to use with PPC.

In this lesson we will talk about email marketing.

This is a very important part of any online business for 3 major reasons.

1.) You can automate your business. This will free you up for
more important things you can concentrate on, and allow for immediate satisfaction for your customers to receive instant response via emails.

2.) You can increase your sales by up to or over 50% by simply following up with auto responding emails.

3.) You can build huge opt-in lists to have a large customer base that wants to hear from you.

When I first started out I tried to do everything myself by writing some scripts and using a free program called reply-o-matic and procmail on my Linux servers. Basically, it will search the subject line of a email and then automatically reply with a email to the sender.

Another free way of doing this is using Microsoft Outlook. You set up a filter to scan your incoming emails subject lines then automatically reply to the the sender.

The fact is that these techniques are OK when you are dealing with a small number of customers or to reply to winners of a Ebay auctions, but for industrial strength email marketing you need more powerful tools to do this job for you.

Currently, I use auto response plus. This came with a free install and I can manage it from anywhere in the world as long as I can get to a web browser. This software will also automatically create web forms you can use on your website to let visitors opt into your lists.

You must have a Linux server to install this on and most hosting companies will be hosting your web servers on Linux anyway's.

If you do not have a Linux hosting server and prefer a Microsoft based product another great one I tried is Mailloop. It comes with very powerful features and also have very easy to learn video tutorials to walk you through using it.

Whatever tool you use email marketing should be at the top of your list in any adventure in online business.

This reaches the end of this series of a overview of several different areas and tips on making money online, but this should not be the end of your continued education of Internet Marketing.
