This is the tenth on-line eCourse from Swiftnet Marketing.

In the last lesson we talked about how to get free traffic with several different techniques and a powerful tool to show you exactly how to rank high in google and yahoo.

Now we will talk about getting traffic through paid advertising. This is called PPC or pay per click advertising and it is exactly how it sounds. Everytime a person clicks on your add and goes to whatever website you are directing them to you pay a certain fee for this click-hence pay per click.

To see a example type something in google like "prescription drugs". The ads on the right are paid advertising.

paid advertising is a great way to get immediate traffic to your website. Simply choose a keyword that you think relates to your website, right the ad and make it active. Just remember to watch your costs as yo obviously want to make money not loose it doing this.

Other than just driving straight forward traffic to your site you can also use ppc to drive traffic straight to a affiliate website so you earn a commission without ever having a webpage. Just make sure this is OK with the affiliate terms and conditions before you do this.

Another excellent way to use PPC is by testing keywords. You can see how many impressions the term is really searched in a day as long as you appear on the front of the search results each time .

Overtime with proper testing you can find out exactly what keywords convert into buying customers and then optimize your site for these keywords to eventually get free customers that are high converters.

To find great niche keywords to use with PPC check out AWA. You can quicky find untapped markets and save hours and hours of research. I have used this for years and would not do PPC without it. I keep a spreadsheet with this output and, also my research from Word Tracker to build my keyword lists.
